The Struggle is Real
Since you have found my website I imagine you are struggling and are seeking support.
Perhaps you have reached a point in your life where you recognize you have given so much of yourself away that you are not sure who you are anymore? Maybe your senses feel dulled and it is difficult to remember what makes you smile and feel alive?
If you have experienced a divorce or are grieving the death of a loved one, you might be feeling so incredibly lonely, even in a crowded room. Loss of any kind can feel destabilizing and uncertainty is pretty damn scary.
Maybe it takes a great deal of energy to go through the motions of your day because you are feeling overwhelmed as a caregiver, single parent, or your job is demanding and/or unfulfilling and you just feel stuck? Does it feel like you have been doggy paddling your way through life?
Often people seek out counseling because they have hit a wall after trying everything they know to do to fix things. They are tired of feeling depressed, anxious, and really are at an impasse and need some relief. Sometimes they know what they need to do, but need some help getting there.
How can counseling help?
Learn how to experience emotions rather than feeling overwhelmed by them
Learn to trust yourself again
Feel safe emotionally and physically
Learn to honor your needs
Making choices that come from a place of knowing
How to hold boundaries as a form of self compassion
Find meaning and purpose
Engage in healthy, loving relationships
Process and grieve a loss
Gain awareness of how you experience life and why that matters
Learn new skills that help you navigate challenges in life
There is hope in healing.
